Vancouver City Sightseeing Adventure: spy game Secret Mission

Vancouver City Sightseeing Adventure: spy game Secret Mission - Vancouver Lookout: the city view that turns into a puzzle-friendly landmark

1.Vancouver City Sightseeing Adventure: spy game Secret Mission

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 23 reviews · 2 hours (approx.) · from $32Our pick

A 2-hour outdoor spy mission in downtown Vancouver. Solve clue puzzles at major landmarks with a provided agent kit.

“Had no idea what to expect, it’s like an Escape room, but outside and in a real city. We did it at night, and for one of the ‘missions’ what you need to solve the clues are high up on a building and very difficult to see at night. Be aware that doing it at night will add an additional level of difficulty. It was really fun, more cities should offer this type of activity.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 17 reviews · 3 hours 30 minutes (approx.)

A self-guided Yaletown scavenger hunt in Vancouver that mixes escape-game style puzzles with hands-on outdoor challenges.

“This tour is for sale on Tripadvisor but the truth is, it doesn’t exist! We paid to do this tour yesterday, drop over an hour into the city, did the first clue, and then the next clue, which was supposed to be a lock box with a map in it, was empty! The proprietor at the store said that they no longer support the tour! Why is it still up for purchase? The local contact info and email address don’t respond, so I called Tripadvisor/Viator and after nearly 30 min, the only result was that they’d contact the tour provider to confirm if we would qualify for a refund. My…”

Foxtrail Compass Trail Vancouver is a 3-hour self-guided hunt in Yaletown with AR puzzles, code-breaking, and escape-game style fun.

“This is very poorly maintained. We couldn't finish because of missing/unreachable clues. DO NOT RECOMMEND! When we arrived at the first stop, they didn't have lanyards for us. Not a huge deal. We set out to continue our hunt. When we got to the parking lot, we searched & searched for the clue that was supposed to be on the fence. We never found it. We finally checked the hints & compared the picture on the hints to where this box should have been. It's not there, it's been removed. This was a letdown, we had spent a lot of time circling this lot. A few in our bunch were…”

“This scavenger hunt was so much fun for our family. Our 8-year-old absolutely loved the comic book style set-up, and it was a neat way for us as the adults to see a part of the city as well. The one piece that would have made the experience much better would have been for the meeting location to be at "location 1" instead of a 10-minute walk away from the scavenger hunt zone. Then having to walk back to the office at the end, too, was tough after so much walking earlier for our kiddo's little legs. Overall, it was a lot of fun and we'd recommend it, but would…”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 4 reviews · 2 hours 15 minutes (approx.) · from $31

Play a mobile mystery game in Vancouver’s Gastown, solve a fast-paced murder plot with clever clue hunts, and finish with a score and certificate.

“My Daughter and I did this mystery for her 13th birthday. It was wonderful to be doing a real life puzzle together without a screen. Some of the clues were quite challenging, until, of course we figured them out. The clues are solved partly through observation and partly through logic. Both of us contributed to solving the clues and we had to work together. The mystery is also a mini walking tour through old Gastown, which is a bonus. It took around 90 minutes and was well worth it.”
